There are really great advantages in digital photography:
You can shoot till you drop
Taking digital images on your camera has no implication other then you have captured the image. Then you can review each image on the small screen on the back of your camera. You can shoot as many pictures of the same scene as you like store them in memory delete the ones that you do not like and print the one(s) you like.

Let's just compare the difference between the two sequences I described in Part 1. The first turn will make a large capital S on the snow and the skis, because they are on their edges for most of the turn, will give excellent snow holding and control. In the second sequence I have rushed round coming to the fall line in a near standing position and the skis for the most part remain flat with little edging.

Ever since Galileo, people have been pointing telescopes to the heavens and expanding their view of this world by looking outside of it into other worlds. It can be a fascinating and rewarding endevour. You can even meet some very good friends this way as there are usually local star-gazing clubs within reach of almost anywhere in the country that offer plenty of companionship when using your telescope.
